Todd was hooked on horror at six years old. George Romero's Dead Trilogy, Michael Jackson's Thriller music video, Friday the 13th, and Joe Bob Briggs' Monstervision became early influences.

“I was always the horror nerd — showing up to school in a Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Dawn of the Dead shirt, trading VHS tapes and discovering hidden gems nobody else had heard of.”

That obsession eventually turned into a career in media. Todd studied Audio Video Communications, worked as a freelance videographer, and later spent 15 years in Software QA before returning full-time to creative work.

Today, he produces podcasts, video, livestreams, events, interviews and digital content through Revival House Media.

“My ultimate goal for Revival House is to teach the next generation of horror fans about the history of this genre, the highs, the lows, and everything in between. Not just a subgenre, but the whole picture.”

Growing up in the Midwest, there wasn't always a lot to do for a kid. Rather than get into trouble or develop any dangerous habits, Aaron escaped into the worlds of horror and music, art that could explore the darker and truer aspects of life.

Thanks to some seriously free-range parenting, he was able to stay up as late as he wanted at just three years old, cutting his teeth on the likes of Child's Play, Halloween II, and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4.

“My upbringing wasn't the easiest, so I honestly couldn't relate to what The Cosby Show was selling. I gravitated toward heavier subject matter that was more relatable. Stuff that wasn't afraid to explore what was really happening in the world, on the news and within my own four walls. I found that with horror and equally as much in bands like Black Sabbath, Metallica and Judas Priest.”

A filmmaker himself, Aaron's mission is to give back to a community that gave so much to him when he needed it most.

Today, Aaron brings that same passion for filmmaking, horror and music to Revival House Media, creating films, interviews, podcasts and original content while continuing to explore the genre and the culture surrounding it.
